The Canadian startup Happly.ai has chosen Paris as the location for its European expansion, with the support of Business France. Its AI-based platform is revolutionizing access to financing for marginalized entrepreneurs and has found a receptive market for its technology and vision in the French capital. This strategic choice perfectly illustrates Paris Region's ability to attract projects that blend technological innovation and social impact.
American expertise finds a home in Issy-les-Moulineaux
Avanade, a global leader in Microsoft digital solutions for AI, is continuing its expansion by recruiting 150 people at its headquarters in Issy-les-Moulineaux. The company is focusing on training in response to skills shortages, while also promoting inclusion through partnerships such as the one with the École de la deuxième chance (Second Chance School). Choose Paris Region helped make this happen by giving them the inside scoop on the local ecosystem and recruitment opportunities.
Singapore steps up its presence in Paris
Insider, a Singapore-based AI-powered omnichannel customer experience platform, highlights the French market's vitality. Established in Paris since 2019, the company plans to recruit 10 new employees to meet growing demand, including Customer Success Managers and Solution Architects, bringing its Paris workforce to 25.
India invests in research and innovation
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), the Indian IT services giant, inaugurated its Pace Port Paris innovation center in June 2024, which also houses its first Center of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence outside India. This center takes a human-centered approach and specializes in brain-machine interfaces and artificial empathy. With 1,600 employees currently in France, TCS aims to double its workforce, thereby demonstrating its strong commitment to the region.
The United Arab Emirates chooses Paris for its AI laboratory
La Mohamed Bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI), the world's first university dedicated to AI, has opened its “France Lab” in Paris. This research center focuses on large language models (LLMs) and promotes collaboration with leading French institutions. It has also introduced MBZUAI startups such as Genbio AI to France, opening up new opportunities for French researchers and engineers.
